Long ago, Hydaelyn needed a way to defend Her people, when a Calamity wiped out a shard. And so, every Calamity, the Twelve Gods would be reborn - to give their lives to defend the Source.
This worked... what? A few times? But after the latest Calamity, those Twelve chosen did not die. Most of them were unaware of their nature. However, since they have not returned, Hydaelyn keeps awakening more - feeling that the Twelve are simply not around. Unlucky for Fordola rem Lupis, she was one of those either cursed or blessed to become one of these deity. She awoke to the power of Ifrit, but tried to bury it. Tried to bury being a beast. She was discovered, however, but was put under the protection of Gaius... and Aulus. Her blood will help others, but the source would be hidden.
The only one that Fordola could trust with the extent of her abilities was another of the reborn gods - and, cruely enough for her, the reborn patron of Ala Mhigo. Rhalgr. The two of them bonded though battle, and now Fordola feels a slight wavering in her loyalty (mostly because Rhalgr has adopted her as a little sister). The slightest bit. Which she can hide - for she is still clearly loyal to Garlemald. She still plays out her canon role, at least at the point I'm pulling her from - even if there was a time she met the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, when Ifrit was summoned early in the story. They helped her recover, and she knows they're out there. Others who are awoken as Gods, and would welcome her. It keeps testing her. And with the death of Gaius, she has to trust Aulus with her secret. (That is not a man you can trust.)
How to Romance Fordola
1: Don't be a weakling. Fordola needs somebody who can keep up with her.
2: Four threads of at least 25 comments, at least. One must involve a spar.
3: (For non-Eorzeans): Get her to admit her past - at least, the parts she keeps hidden. Get her to admit she's Ala Mhigan.
3: (For Eorzeans): Get her to admit what's changed between her and her canon self - that she wants to give up the Empire.
4: Respect her, but give her kindness.
5: Do not insult Ifrit or the Amalj'aa around her.
